I also love this smoothie because my kids love it too, it’s all about the strawberry. And any time I can sneak some more veggies into my kid’s diets, it’s a winner in books.
Healthy Strawberry Smoothie
Nutritionally, the key ingredients will have your insides and skin humming with health!
Excellent source of flavonoids which are anti-inflammatory. They are unusually high in vitamin C which is beneficial for skin health.
It’s a digestive aid and helps with circulation. It also has antibacterial properties.
Excellent source of vitamin A essential for healthy eyes and skin. The body uses vitamin A to create retinoic acid which helps prevent lines and promotes collagen growth. It’s also high in vitamin C which boost collagen.
- 1 1/2 cups of strawberries
- 8 large basil leaves
- 4 large beetroot leaves
- 4-6 ice cubes
- 3/4 water or coconut water
